OREN RESEARCH GROUP / BIONANODESIGN LABORATORY

Bionanodesign

The Oren Group contributes to fundamental/applied research in the computational bionanotechnology and materials theory areas. We design and implement novel quantitative and computational methods to solve challenging problems across the entire spectrum of biology, medicine and materials science. Specific research areas include organic/inorganic interfaces, protein/peptide/DNA structure prediction and design, DNA/RNA/Peptide based electronics, surface/interface instabilities, thin film growth and development of quantum dots.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Student scholarship is available for Ph. D. or Master Degree in TOBB ETU, Biomedical Engineering and Micro and Nano Technology Program. For detailed information: Institude of Science and Technology

The Oren Group is continuously seeking motivated undergrad/grad students and postdoctoral fellows to contribute to fundamental and applied research in computational bio(nano)technology and materials theory. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in materials science, engineering, physics or applied mathematics. Prior experience in programing (C++, Mathcad, etc.), mechanism of surface/interface instabilities, molecular dynamics, homology modeling or bioinformatics is advantageous but not required. Interested applicants should send a CV and list of references to Dr. E. E. Oren, eeoren@etu.edu.tr.
